Thursday Stumble Vol. 4
Oh man, first off I would like to apologise on behalf of SSSB for being so quiet. We have been really busy studying and running our illegal Mozambiquean Tupperware import business. But nevertheless, the return of the Thursday Stumble is here (albeit on a Saturday, but I started writing it on a Thursday so it still counts!). This week's stumble sees me slipping into the deep end. I am usually not that big a fan of the deep house sounds, but lately these funky deep beats have been speaking to me like Darth Vader - "Shayne, come to the deep side!". These tracks will move your booty to boombastic proportions. Also in this week's stumble, some electronic and tech stuff to move your booty equally, if not more. Enjoy!
Festival Girlfriend - Stockholm Syndrome (Download link)
Oh man! This tune has done things to my body that I could only reveal to my therapist. Deep vibes with electro elements and super sexy vocals. Definitely a must-have.
The 2 Bears - Be Strong (Download link)
This bouncy track is brought to you by none other than Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and his bear partner Raff Rundell. I really like the groovy funky bassline and the super catchy vocals about the love for the music.
Tiga & Jori Hulkkonen - Trust Your Body (Danny Daze Dub) (Download link)
This track blends elements of deep and tech in a way that I approve. Trust your body, your body never lies.
Justin Jay - The Jaguar (Download link)
This deep tune has a variety of tasty elements that come together to form a mellow yet groovy track, and the combination of instrumentation with the electronic elements works nicely.
Prince Club & Harvard Bass - Canixo (Download link)
Canixo is deep/tech number with a wonky bassline and an almost progressive-sounding build up. I think its cool. Do you?
Brodinski featuring Theophilus London - Gimme Back The Night (Download link)
This is a dark little party number from French producer Brodinski and one of my personal favourites Theophilus London. A deep pulsating bassline punctuated by TL's saucy Prince-like taunts.
The Hacker - Shockwave (Gesaffelstein Remix) (link removed)
Picked up this dirty electro child on the streets of Los Santos playing Grand Theft Auto 5. A heavy but crunchy tune that brought me much joy as I wreaked havoc on my Playstation.

Thursday Stumble Vol .2
The time has come for the second edition of the Thursday Stumble, a short and sweet selection of tracks that I like to post on a Thursday (for some reason). This week's selection features a mixture of mellow groovy tracks with a number of heavy dangerous ones, with genres spanning from nu-disco to jackin house to tech to bass to indietronica. Let's see what's on the menu:
Cause & Affect - The Tickle
Some dank heavy bass transforming into funky synths and back again for a dirty rave
Boys Noize - Starwin (download in player)
A new one from Boys Noize, a feel-good nu-disco number with a bit of acid house thrown in for taste
Breach - Jack (Download link)
A dark bassy tech number with vocals from a woman who really wants to jack, whatever that means
Cause & Affect - Pushy Pushy (Download link)
Another much older track from Cause & Affect, disco house at it's grooviest
Bot - One Hour
A scary yet bouncy tech number from one half of the now disbanded Crookers
Marcus Marr - The Music (Download link)
A very mellow and feel-good Daft Punky nu-disco type track found by the Tozz-Man
Madame - Realness (Download link)
Probably the heaviest track on this list, proceed with caution and hide the children from this tech house terror
Yacht - Second Summer (RAC Remix) (Download link)
A cool melancholic indietronic remix from remix-king RAC, also courtesy of Tozz
Hope you enjoy this strange eclectic mix of the tasty tracks that I've stumbled upon throughout my journeys!

Tronique
This is not something that happens everyday. I remember sitting in class at school with this mother-funker sharing tracks and watching him DJ at house parties. Now he's signed to a label, released some bangers on beatport and is tearing it up in Canada. This kid can literally make any genre of dance music.
Here's his bio: Impressive!
Tronique (Victoria)
The South African born mutha f%#&a has been rocking the dance floor for a good 6 years now, with no signs of slowing down! He has a classic vibe of Electro, House, and Progressive House to his music. He first came onto the scene in Johannesburg, South Africa, moving to Vancouver, Canada, in 2011.
After a year of Sound Engineering in Vancouver, Canada, Tronique released his first EP with a record label in Toronto - Don't Look Productions. That fuelled Tronique's productions, later releasing a remix which hit #1 on the Satellite Electro House, and Club House Charts, titled Haakonsen - Straight Stacks (Tronique Remix).
Tronique has upcoming releases with a Dutch/UK Label, later to be released. Keep an eye out for this young talent, he has the never ending ability to send fits of movement through your feet, keeping you up and moving for hours on end.

Tozz's Top 5 Tunes of 2012
Whatsup young homies. I've been rather quiet on SSSB so far but things are about to change. 2012 was a great year for music and with difficulty I've chosen my top 5 in no particular order. Give them a listen!
Pleasurekraft has a habit of making catchy tunes that you can't seem to get out of your head. Remember Tarantula? Personally I think Skeleton Key is his best work to date. This bouncy tech track with a massive bassline had me listening to it the whole year. The vocals sound like they come from a 1970's pimp daddy and the drop comes out of nowhere to smash you in the brain!
Pleasurekraft feat. Green Velvet - Skeleton Key (Original Mix) [Great Stuff]
Money Trees by Kendrick Lamar feat. Anna Wise & Jay Rock
If you enjoy hip hop and you havent heard this track by now then your life is a lie. Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid m.A.A.d City is a classic record and Money Trees is definitely the best song on the album. SSSB think this may be the best hip hop track of the year. Kendrick has one of the best flows I've heard and Anna Wise and Jay Rock make this track even better. It has an infectious hook over a beat that samples Beach House's track Silver Soul. That's just how I feel, Ya Bish!
Money Trees - Kendrick Lamar
Buzz Killington by Paul Thomas (Funkagenda Remix)
Dubstep is certainly not my favourite genre of dance music. To me 95% of it is noise, but some of it is pure gold. Buzz Killington is pure gold. Funkagenda normally sticks to the tech/progressive side of things but came out with this smashing melodic dubstep track. It took me a while to get into it but it's without a doubt one of the my all time favourites. The build up is huge and the drop is even bigger. Below is a preview. Massive!
Paul Thomas - Buzz Killington [Funkagenda Remix] [FF013] by Funkagenda
Adam Freeland - We Want Your Soul (Klangkarussell Remix)
Deep house over the last few years has grown massively in South Africa and there's some amazing deep house that's being produced at the moment. This track's vocals have an ideological undertone about the government and corporations that feed us information that inevitably leads to them controlling us. This an amazing track. Take a listen.
We Want Your Soul (Klangkarussell Remix) by Klangkarussell
Giuseppe Ottaviani feat. Betsie Larkin - Toys
If anyone went to watch Dash Berlin Godskitchen in South Africa last year you will remember that he opened with his own mashup of Toys and By The Way by Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was an unbelievable moment that I will never forget. This track is pure trance magic. Its near impossible to find this mashup but the original is just as good. Turn it up!
Giuseppe Ottaviani & Betsie Larkin - Toys
